I highly recommend this water fountain for its ease of use, my cats using it right away, the quietness of the unit and how easy it was to put together and clean compared to other water fountains.

She stopped waiting at the tap
My cat spent years sitting in the bathroom sink waiting for someone to turn the tap on for her, which is charming for about a month and then it is just a job. I was skeptical a fountain would change that because she had ignored one before. This one sits where her old bowl was and she took to it in about three days, which after two fountains she ignored completely I was not expecting.

Quiet enough to forget
The last fountain we owned buzzed, and not in a way you stop noticing. It went in the kitchen, then it went in a cupboard, and the cat went back to the tap. This one I genuinely have to look at to tell whether it is running - you hear the water and nothing else, which matters because ours lives in the bedroom. The other thing that has kept it out of the cupboard is that the whole thing comes apart and goes in the dishwasher. Five months and it still looks new.

Two cats, one bowl
Two cats, and before this I was topping up two bowls twice a day and still finding them empty. The 2.2 litres gets us about six days with both of them on it, and there is a window in the side so I can see the level walking past instead of lifting the lid to check. The filters are the only part I have to actually remember, and two months of them came in the box, which took the pressure off while we worked out whether the cats would use it at all.

A pump lifts water from the 2.2 litre bowl and returns it through the spout as a falling stream. Cats read moving water as fresh, which is the same instinct that sends yours to the bathroom tap. The water passes through a three-layer carbon filter continuously rather than only when you refill, so it stays clean through the day rather than only just after a change.
Usually it is one of two things: the fountain was noisy, or the bowl was too narrow. This one runs under 25 dB, which is quieter than a whisper, and the bowl is wide enough that a cat is not pressing its whiskers against the sides to reach the water. Give it a few days beside the old bowl rather than replacing the bowl on day one - most cats investigate on their own once the bowl is not the only option.
Once a week is realistic. It comes apart without tools and the steel parts go in the dishwasher. The pump is the one piece that needs a rinse by hand, and it takes about a minute. There are no narrow crevices, which is the thing that makes most plastic fountains a job nobody does twice.
Under 25 dB - below a whisper, and quiet enough to sit in a bedroom overnight. You will hear the water rather than the motor. If a fountain you have owned before buzzed or rattled, that is the pump running dry or sitting badly; the window on the side shows the level, so keeping it above the line is the whole trick.

Two months of carbon filters
A power adapter for your country

Filters are replaced every four weeks, so the two months in the box cover your first eight. Replacements are sold separately.
Orders leave within 24 to 48 hours, tracked. Delivery is typically five to seven business days.
365 days to send it back for a refund. That is long enough to find out whether your cat takes to it, which is the only question that matters here.

What it is made of
304 food-grade stainless steel, which is the same grade used for cookware, and the reason there is no slime line and no feline acne. Plastic fountains develop a biofilm you can feel with a fingertip within a week; steel does not. It comes apart into a lid, a tank and a pump without tools, and the steel goes in the dishwasher. The bowl holds 2.2 litres - eight to ten days for one cat - and the level reads through a window in the side, so you are not lifting the lid to check.

Why a cat drinks from a moving stream
Cats evolved drinking from streams, not puddles, and moving water was the signal that a source was safe. That instinct is why yours sits in the bathroom waiting for the tap and walks past a bowl that has been down since morning. A still bowl also goes stale in a way a cat notices before you do. A falling stream keeps giving the same signal all day, which is what turns drinking from an occasional event into a habit.
Steel, and why almost nobody uses it
Nearly every fountain on the shelf is plastic, because plastic is cheap to mould. Plastic also scratches, and a scratched bowl holds a bacterial film that a rinse does not shift - which is where the slime comes from, and a good part of where feline acne on the chin comes from too. This is 304 food-grade stainless throughout, the same grade as a decent pan. It does not scratch the same way, it does not hold the film, and every part of it goes in the dishwasher.

Questions people ask before buying
Most do, and the ones that do not usually need a few days rather than a different fountain. Cats are suspicious of new objects and reassured by moving water, so the two cancel out over about a week. Leave the old bowl down while it settles in. If yours genuinely will not go near it, that is what the 365 days are for.
2.2 litres, which is eight to ten days for one cat and rather less for two. The window on the side shows the level without taking the lid off, so refilling becomes something you notice walking past rather than something you have to remember.
Every four weeks. Two months' worth ship with the fountain, which covers your first eight weeks, and replacements are sold separately after that. Nothing is delivered automatically and there is no repeat charge on this order.
Yes to running continuously - it is designed to. For time away, 2.2 litres is roughly eight to ten days for one cat and less for two, so a long weekend is comfortable and a week is the outside edge. Somebody should still be checking on the cat, and it does need to stay plugged in.
Send it back. You have 365 days, which is deliberately longer than the few weeks it takes to find out.

Great product, caring company
Great customer service from a caring company. My cat loves the fountain - like any cat, he loves the faucet. He drinks more water now, too. I've had other cat fountains.

Cats do prefer running water
Cats do prefer running water. Mine always wanted to drink out of the sink faucet. Now she can get water whenever she wants it. I set the fountain on movement detection, which took me a couple of goes to work out.

Individual results vary. This is a drinking fountain, not a veterinary treatment - if your cat is drinking unusually little or unusually much, that is a reason to see a vet rather than to buy an appliance.
